What we liked? Well from the beginning to the end it was the best experience we had in Philippines at all. The superb hosts Chris and his family were just amazing. We had difficult traveling due to airliners but due to Chris and his miracle we made also the tour to underground river we wanted and we loved it! Thank you for all!

Lovely homestay

Lovely double room with a bathroom. Chris was a great host and helped hugely with organising trips and my bus to El Nido. So sorry I took the key by mistake Chris I will try to send it back!

Near the mall but not near the main town (not that big an issue as it's not much to write home about). The bus to El Nido left three hours late!

Great host, nice room and good organization and communications

Chris was a very kind host, the pick-up, the room, the breakfast and the coordination of transfers to Port Barton and from there to El Nido were perfectly fine. Plus they had this little puppy, that made the wait for the minivan more than bearable.

The room is really tidy and confortable.

The room is really tidy and confortable. It has a really good value for its price. A big thank to Chris and Tess who warmly welcomed us. They've been perfect hosts and helped us organising a part of our trip. Also, don't forget to send your flight number to Chris, he will kindly pick you up at the airport. Note to Chris : as promised, we will send you a bottle of wine shortly!

What was the highlight of El Taraw Bed & Breakfast

The nicest host ever!!

El Taraw host was simply amazing. We stayed at Puerto Princesa for just a few hours, we arrived at 9 pm and had to leave to El Nido to get there at 8 am next morning. The host was waiting for us at the airport, arranged the transportation for next morning at a very fair price. We met the family and had some tea on arrival that made our day (we had been traveling from Cebu. Next morning at 3 am the host was there with a great breakfast making sure we were going to El Nido and that everything was fine. It was amazing how welcomed we felt at El Taraw... once we get back to Puerto Princesa it is totally a no-brainer to pick this accommodation again.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at El Taraw with Chris and...

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at El Taraw with Chris and his beautiful family. The airport pick-up went smooth, so we had no problem getting to the place. Chris was a great welcoming host, he provided us with everything we could possibly ask for and organized everything we needed. That gave us a really good and easy start at Palawan. The house is very cute and the room was spacious and comfy. We had breakfast at the beautiful balcony and once a romantic and delicous dinner (even though this is not normally offered). We felt like home from the very first second!

The place is not totally central in Puerto, but we perceived this as an advantage since it was quite and the surrounding area beautiful. We had a pick up from the house, so there was also no need to search vor a station or sth like that.

Alles war Blitz sauber, Chris war der Super Host. Pick up vom Flughafen und auch drop off, Tips, Chris hat Touren für uns gebucht da er eine eigene Reisefirma hat. Tolle Terrasse, leckeres Frühstück Ausgesprochen Hilfsbereit Wir hatten Glück dass wir die einzigen Gäste waren da es nur ein Gemeinschaftsbad gibt. Wir würden immer wieder zu Chris und seiner netten Familie gehen :-)

Das Bad hatte einige tropfende Wasserstellen und einen undefinierbaren strengen Geruch.

Чисто, уютно, но нам показалось, что далековато от всего. Ванна и туалет общие, это вроде не указывалось при бронировании, хотя может мы не заметили. Хозяин очень милый и добрый, решит любую проблему и каприз клиента.

After three other places to stay in the Philippines (in Manila, Baguio and Cebu City), this one in Puerto Princesa was as surprisingly good and relaxing as I've got no words to express it. The staff is very hospitable, friendly and helpful. Chris met us at the airport though I had texted him just at night before we were to arrive. I really love the location because it's out of the city so it isn't noisy though the hypermarket Robinsons isn't very far and you can take a tricycle or rent a motorbike to get there or anywhere else at the city center. The bed clothes was very clean, the air inside the room was fresh, the open air breakfast in the courtyard was good, served with fruits, I really appreciate it. The owner offers any tours and vans you want for a normal price. So just come there first and then decide what you want to do in Palawan.Очень прияное место остановиться, хотя и не в центре Пуэрто Принсезы. Хорошо там притормознуть и оттуда просто ездить во всякие туры - на подземную реку, в Хонда Бэй и так далее. Сам город очень уютный, но делать там почти нечего, разве что неплохие рыбные рестораны вроде Баджао Сифронт. Так что в Эль Тарау мы с другом хорошо передохнули между нашими перелетами-переездами. Атмосфера умиротворяющая: тишина, гамак во дворе, район вилл, вкусный завтрак с фруктами, чисто.
